Are you struggling to grow your YouTube channel?  Are you still getting few views or subscribers? If this is how you are feeling… this video is for you!

Are you struggling to build your YouTube channel? It’s not all about making and uploading videos. There is so much more on the back end that you need to do so your channel and videos get found.

YouTube is not like social media, where you see the content you follow on your feed. YouTube growth strategies help you to get found through search.

After your family, friends, colleagues and clients subscribe to your channel, it won’t grow anymore unless you set your channel up to be found by search. That is how you grow your channel.

But sadly, so many channels with good content languish because people do not understand how YouTube works.

YouTube is a great way to advertise your business and coaching programs but if your channel and videos are getting few views, it’s not because your content is bad.  It’s usually because you don’t understand how YouTube works.

If you are uploading random things, like re-purposing Facebook lives, the YouTube algorithm won’t know what to do with your content.

Also, the YouTube audience is fickle and if you don’t get to the point right away, or you are just saying hi to your people on a Facebook live, people will click off.

YouTube works best if you are clear about WHO you are creating content for. We call this your Ideal Client. Think about what THEY want and need to hear from YOU.

Next, to grow your channel you MUST upload regularly. If you only upload when you feel like it, your channel will not grow very much.

This is a big one… not understanding that YouTube is tied to Google. The way your channel grows is by creating Titles for your videos using terms that people are searching for.

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is KEY to growing on YouTube.

And last, Thumbnails need to be clear and visually appealing so when your video shows up on search, people will click on it.

Check for these issues:

1. Be clear about your channel’s focus and don’t use YouTube as a place to repurpose random Facebook lives.

2. Regular uploads are required if you want to grow your channel.

3. Create titles that people are searching for with the words they would use.

4. Create thumbnails that are visually appealing so people will click when they see it.

Unfortunately, most people don’t learn these concepts in school, which is why their channels aren’t getting many views or subs. YouTubers need to grow new skills. But you can learn and that is why I have started my YouTube coaching business.
