One of the things I see quite often on YouTube is that so many channels do not have a custom YouTube Banner or Channel Art.
This is one of the first things you need so new viewers and subscribers can quickly understandwhat your channel is all about!
If you don’t have a YouTube Channel Banner, formerly called, Channel Art, you will missing out on gaining new subscribers!
When potential subscribers click on your channel and they don’t see any information about what your channel is about, you are not giving them any reason to subscribe!
And just having a pretty picture is also not helping your cause, either.
Your YouTube Banner is the place to put your channel name, branding logo and any information about what your channel is about and possibly your upload schedule.
In this video, I will be using a screen sharing program while talking to you and showing you just how easy it is to create a YouTube Banner in Canva.

Canva is an online graphic program and it is my favorite for making banners and thumbnails for YouTube. (It’s great for any and every design project, too.)
The reason why I love Canva so much is because it has many templates you can tweak or you can create a new one from scratch.
Canva also has royalty-free pictures and elements. You can also upload your own pictureswith the paid version.
And it makes design so easy with moving lines that help you balance your designs.

Let’s review:
1. Your channel banner is key for new subscribers so they understand what your channel is about.
2. It should have text that features your channel name and important information, like up loading schedule and/or other branding or descriptions about what your channel is about.
3. It should be visually appealing to attract the eye.
